Here are some practical ways you can do to protect your home and your family from the disease.

Keeping Your Home Clean During COVID-19 Pandemic

  1. Clean
    • Wear disposable gloves when you are cleaning your home.
    • Clean surfaces using soap and water.
    • Clean surfaces, such as tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, phones, toilets, faucets, sinks
  2. Disinfect
    • Use diluted household bleach solutions. Check if the solution is appropriate for disinfection
    • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application and proper ventilation.
    • Use alcohol solutions with at least 70% of alcohol.
  3. When using electronics such as tablets, touch screens, keyboards, remote controls, and ATMs:
    • Place a wipeable cover on the electronics.
    • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning and disinfecting.
    • You can use alcohol-based sanitizers or sprays containing at least 70% alcohol. Then, dry the surface before using them.
  4. Laundry
    • Check the clothes’ manufacturer’s instructions and follow.
    • Use warm water and dry the items thoroughly.
    • Wear disposable gloves or appropriate hand cover to avoid touching the items.
    • Do not shake dirty laundry.
    • You also have to clean and disinfect clothes hamper according to the manufacturer’s instructions
    • After doing laundry, remove your gloves and wash your hands right away.
